At Taecole Taekwondo and Female Fighters Matter Too, we take teaching our students about bullying very seriously.
National Stop Bullying Day on the second Wednesday in October brings together students, faculty, and parents to end bullying. #StopBullyingDay - This annual designation promotes standing up against and put an end to bullying. No child should be afraid to ride a bus or go to school because a classmate threatens them. Children who have been bullied should also feel they can report the incident without repercussions.
Martial arts instills respect and discipline, showing children how to handle bullies both in and outside of school in a respectful manner. Whether someone is being targeted for being a woman in martial arts or dealing with everyday aggression, bullying is a reality for many individuals.
In the video, Maggie, our founder, highlights the impact of bullying and the importance of kindness. She talks about how words can deeply affect others and reminds us all to be mindful of the power we hold with the things we say. At some point, many of us face bullying, and it’s important to know that the way we treat others can leave a lasting impact—both positive and negative.
Let’s keep building a supportive community where respect and empathy come first. 🥋💪
